building an indie business in the center of venture capital I am Alex Edmonds people on the internet call me supremerumham and this is the building an indie business podcast recorded in the Indie business Studio okay so today um I will finally be going over how to migrate Shopify to woocommerce  let's get into it okay so in this episode I am assuming you already know how to install WordPress and install woocommerce.

Odds are, as always, there is probably a WordPress plugin or WooCommerce migration service that does this for you, but you never what else that plugin will do to your WordPress website. Then, it will slow down your website.

Getting Shopify Products

The first step to migrating your online store from Shopify to WooCommerce is to get the CSV with all the product information.

Start in Shopify by going to “Products." At the top right corner, click “Export.”

You can use this Shopify CSV to import Shopify products into any ecommerce platform, not only a WooCommerce store.

A pop-up will allow you to choose the setting of the migration CSV. You can export products on the page, you can export all products, or select product you want to export.

After, you select the format of the CSV file. You can export the file as a CSV for Excel or another spreadsheet program or a plain CSV.

Import Products from Shopify Store to WooCommerce

Now you need to go to WordPress. Yet again, we start at the WordPress dashboard. Go to the Products tab and “Start Import"

Next, find the file to upload and click “Continue”

Then, verify column mapping.

That's it, you're done.

that's all I have for this episode um thank you for listening have a nice day bye
